What paychecks are included on my 2023 Form W-2? |
Paychecks dated between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023 are included on the 2023 Form W-2. The reporting year for a Form W-2 statement is determined by the check date, not period ending date. |
What should I do if I haven’t received my Form W-2 by February 15, 2024? |

Please allow the US Postal Service time to deliver your Form W-2. Reprints will not be issued until after February 15, 2024 |
I recently received my Form W-2. What should I do if there is an error? |

Be prepared to provide your name, Social Security Number, error description, and contact information. The problem will be researched and corrected, as needed. |
It’s the end of the year. What should I do if I just found the error at this time? |
Don’t wait until the end of the year to look at your pay statements. Examine each pay statement that you receive in the coming year. Report errors to the Payroll Department as soon as possible. Be sure to look at state and local codes and any deductions, even if your net pay rarely changes |
What should I do if I lose my Form W-2? |
If mailed, we recommend that you keep the original copy of your Form W-2 in a safe place with other tax records. You can reprint your Form W-2 directly from UltiPro at www.tarheelcapital.com – Click Employees |
Can I file my tax return before I receive my Form W-2 by using my last pay statement? |
It is not recommended to file your tax return prior to receiving your Form W-2. Copies of your Form W-2 are sent to the IRS and your state and local governments. Any miscalculation of pre-tax issues or additional earnings could cause a discrepancy. |
I want to file my tax return prior to receiving my Form W-2. Can I contact the Corporate Office to have my last paystub reprinted? |
No. Our system is not set up to reprint paystubs. Paystubs can be accessed directly from UltiPro

Anyone needing prior year Form W-2 can call, email or fax their request. They can also login to their profile in Ultipro

Can my employer help me file my tax return? |
No. You should consult your personal tax professional for questions or advice when filing your tax return. |
Why have I received 2 separate Form W-2s? |
It is possible if you were transferred to a different store location during the year that you will receive 2 Form W-2s. |
